This Saturday, (24th September), to celebrate the Festival of Food Waste Reduction, there’s a free drop-in event in Aberfeldy from 11am to 3pm – split across two venues: upstairs in The Birks Cinema and in The Square (under the gazebos). There are lots of activities to get involved in, including apple pressing and a cooking demonstration plus a Food Waste Quiz. We hope to see you there – and please bring some apples and/or a mug and/or a carton for some freshly-squeezed apple juice.
If you have a brown bin for food waste (without a garden waste permit), you might be interested in the upcoming Tour of the Glenfarg Industrial Composting facility. These free tours are taking place on Saturday 8th October. More details (and information about how to book) can be found at www.pkc.gov.uk/foodwasteequalsclimatechange
If you are passionate about reducing food waste and would like to share food waste messages in your community, we are running an online Love Food Hate Waste Train the Trainer workshop on Tuesday 11th October.
